The Code establishes time-honored and baseline principles that come from the collective experiences of REALTORS® since the Code of Ethics was first established in 1913. Those principles can be loosely defined as:

Fiduciary (legal) duty to clients;

To earn a designation, a REALTOR® has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry. Don holds designations as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), member of the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Internet Marketing Professional (ePRO), and a Short Sale and Foreclosure expert (SFR).

| A Family Man With Texas Roots |
|
Don was raised on a cotton farm in west Texas, and left the farm to serve in the U.S. Navy. He is a family man, husband, father, grandfather, married to Carolyn for 40 years, and loves spending time with the family. Don and Carolyn attend church regularly and host a weekly Bible study. A favorite family activity is a periodic pilgrimage to Walt Disney World in Orlando.

He is a former board member and quality examiner for the Quality Texas Foundation which administers the Texas Award For Performance Excellence based on the Baldrige Criteria.
